As of 01 April 2005 Visas are no longer required for EU and Swiss passport holders to enter Ukraine if staying for less than 90 Days.

European Championships
Poland and Ukraine have been chosen to host the 2012 European Championships.
Games will be played in four Ukrainian cities -
Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Lviv and four Polish venues - Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw.
Kyiv's Olympic Stadium is the proposed venue for the final.
The tournament will feature 16 teams

How safe is Ukraine?
Most travellers do not encounter problems with crime while in Ukraine. Most street crime is relatively low level. So the wallet scams or simple pick pocketing is the same level as anywhere in the world.
